3. Asking Google to investigate failed deliveries regarding DC Thomson content supplied via a DC Thomson app, seems illogical.
4. Advised Google Play who said they only acted as a "go-between", and couldn't restart my subscription.
5. Contacted DC Thomson, who said they weren't the developer - they only manage subscriptions made through their own website, and have nothin to do with this app.
6. Two months of queries back and forth to Google Play and no further forward.
7. My annual subscription stopped working after 6 months.
8. No idea who the actual developer is who can reconnect me.
9. Awful.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix The Evening Express Issues
1. Fix The Evening Express Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart The Evening Express: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the The Evening Express App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Evening Express" » Open The Evening Express » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Evening Express » click "UPDATE".
- Clear The Evening Express app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Evening Express servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Evening Express" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check The Evening Express app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Evening Express might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall The Evening Express. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Evening Express then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Evening Express not working
2. Fix The Evening Express Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Evening Express be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Evening Express not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Evening Express may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
