OMRON HeartAdvisor Customer Insights

1. My biggest complaint is that on Android 10, when the phone disconnects from the watch for any reason (happens often) you have to fiddle with Bluetooth or restart your phone to get the two paired again and syncing.

2. Also, it asks for a ridiculous amount of permissions, why does it ask to for permission to see my files and make phone calls just to be able to talk to a bluetooth scale?I find it almost exactly as described.

3. Anytime I want data to transfer from watch to my phone, I have to tell the app to forget the device, and pair it again like new.

4. Will not stay connected to the watch and cannot re-connect unless the phone is re-started, the Bluetooth connection forgotten and the phone re-paired to the watch.

5. Poor performance for such an expensive "premium" product!The watch seems to work so far (although have yet to run a test while at doctor to compare results)... But the sync feature completely fails.

6. Definitely some room for improvement.This app will drain your device's battery because it'll run in the background even if you change your device's settings to put the app to sleep immediately when it's not in use, and even if you don't allow background data usage and even if you turn off all notifications.

7. Charts may use a face list as well.My phone frequently warns me this app is using 100% of a CPU core while running in the background, draining battery like crazy.

8. Very annoying.Simple app to get information from your omron HeartGuide Blood pressure monitor and smart watch.

9. Once the watch and the phone lose BT connectivity, they never reconnect.

10. Other issues include pitiful battery life (the charger is proprietary), severely limited smartwatch functionality and inability to correctly detect steps.

11. As mentioned by other users, export data must be massaged in Excel as each value is stored as a string with units (mmHg) appended.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix OMRON HeartAdvisor Issues

1. Fix OMRON HeartAdvisor Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart OMRON HeartAdvisor: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the OMRON HeartAdvisor App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "OMRON HeartAdvisor" » Open OMRON HeartAdvisor » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for OMRON HeartAdvisor » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear OMRON HeartAdvisor app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from OMRON HeartAdvisor servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "OMRON HeartAdvisor" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check OMRON HeartAdvisor app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, OMRON HeartAdvisor might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OMRON HeartAdvisor. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall OMRON HeartAdvisor then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing OMRON HeartAdvisor not working


2. Fix OMRON HeartAdvisor Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make OMRON HeartAdvisor be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to OMRON HeartAdvisor not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, OMRON HeartAdvisor may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
