1. This application can be used as a companion to the mdottraffic. com website. At mdottraffic. com, users can configure alerts related to their preferred driving routes.
2. Use this MDOTTraffic application to access real-time traffic alert information from across the State of Mississippi.
3. Text, email or push notifications can be enabled to notify users of traffic alerts on their home, work or school routes.
1. Just a FYI for anyone using the new app, you will need to restart your phone for the app to work properly. Was working for a day before hurricane Sally hit and now it won't open and I keep getting a message that pops up several times an hour saying MDOT keeps stopping.
2. So what's the point of this app? It's great to have such as road closures , especially if you're traveling out of the state and it's great for Road work, Bridge work or closures, if you read this and don't have this app I strongly suggest you get it .During the ice storm, they cut off camera feeds to the app to conserve bandwidth for law enforcement, etc.
3. Previous version was great, this one, not so much.Useless app, stuck in Mississippi due to inclement weather, finally was able to leave, now stuck in dead stop traffic for 30 mins and can't view any traffic cams on app to see what's going on.
4. Guess what? It didn't work! Waste of time! I'll just stay with Google and other traffic apps!Wouldn't allow me to log in so I tried creating a new account and still nothing.
5. Disappointing and frustrating. After restarting my phone I was able to see working cameras.
6. It would be nice if we had more cameras and not just down the interstate exits. At first, the app won't close, now, half the time, it won't open.
7. Basically the app is useless to us everyday taxpaying citizens who paid for this, to help keep ourselves safe.
8. According to another user they're saving bandwidth for the road services.
9. 🤷🏻 ♂️ 🤦🏻 ♂️After publicity on the evening news, I decided to try the app.
10. I get a app has stopped working when I did not start it to begin with.
11. A LOOOOT of the cameras are down/unavailable pretty frequently.
