1. I also never had the option to file a weekly claim with the app.I wish it worked, but every time I try to create an account it just says "unable to create account please try again." The help and support tab just says to make sure you're using the most up to date version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari even though I'm accessing it from the app.

2. I'm trying to upload documents right now that I've been told need to be Uploaded to day and they didn't even get the feature update and till 30 minutes ago, 7:30 at night and now it won't let me submit my documents.

3. Way easier than any other method, and I get reminders on my phone to do my vehicle registration.My weekly updates are not installed on the app until almost midnight, making me late on getting my weekly renewals and for unemployment.

4. I will save my time and disc space and delete the app and rely on websites to do what I need to.The app has an assistant for questions you have, but if it provides a link for more information, you can't click the link.

5. And, they took the time to respond, which I appreciate! -- Internal error message - Virginia is using this for PUA applications for self employed/gig workers and so far, I'm not impressed.

6. Have not been able to get past the blue spinning wheel of death on either phone or laptop.Save yourself time and headache and don't download.

7. Obviously no care put into the updates as these have been problems for over a year at this point.It worked great right after first installing it.

8. Tried accessing the website on a browser to see if there was any difference but it still just gives me the same errorUPDATED: After posting my review, the developers fixed the problem and the app ran fast and smooth.

9. It appears to be an extra layer of confusion between the user and the actual government websites that need to be accessed.

10. Keyboard background stays permanently on screen after any typing, and back button exits entire app and leaves whatever you were working on.

11. This app is supposed to be your government assistant app...ha! Whomever the 'government' hired to develop this app needs to scrap it and start over.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Gov2Go Issues

1. Fix Gov2Go Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Gov2Go: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Gov2Go App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Gov2Go" » Open Gov2Go » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Gov2Go » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Gov2Go app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Gov2Go servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Gov2Go" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Gov2Go app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Gov2Go might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Gov2Go. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Gov2Go then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Gov2Go not working


2. Fix Gov2Go Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Gov2Go be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Gov2Go not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Gov2Go may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

I am the landlord for Gloria Menelly, 5006 Amboy Ct. We have been applying for relief since Dec 2021. She is having trouble uploading the 7 pages of the lease. We have tried putting it in a zip file, seperate pages etc. When she called previously for update they told her they had the signature page and everything was fine, that was over 45 days ago. I have been using Gov2go all of 2020 and it worked now the site has changed and it wont let me log in it am using the correct password and it flashes me the dashboard but then it puts me back to login I have tried everything!!!! Why did my timeline never update or display any of my PUA information so I could file weekly online instead of having to call in every week which is a BIG hassle most time.
