1. These movements are collected by tiny GPS tags carried by the animals and are stored at Movebank, a free online infrastructure used by hundreds of researchers to manage, share, analyze, and archive animal movement data.
2. You can easily participate in our scientific research projects: Upload your real-life observations and photos of our tagged animals to Animal Tracker.
3. With Animal Tracker, you can follow the movements of wild animals all over the world that are being tracked in near-real time!
4. We can determine the positions of the tagged animals but we are lacking behavioral observations - we can interpret our data much better with your additional observations.
5. Your observations are crucial for our scientists!
6. Therefore: become a scientist, become an Animal Tracker!
1. It wouldn't send me the verification email and wouldn't let me sign in :(Great app! My points of criticism: - list of species should be searchable and also match on languages other than the UI display language - app language should be freely configurable, independent from Android's default language - map view should provide a time slider, so I can't only track the movements of an individual selected animal, but also be able to see all tracked animals within a certain timeframe/area - "Visit our website" in Settings > About is a 404I love this app a BUNCH!! It helped me learn about lots of animals and how far they can travel.
2. İt would be great to improve the search, as well as have a filter to show just protected species (since they already have a badge). It does not show you what the animal is doing live it shows you what it was doing in the past 30 days or even the past week I wish there was a live GPS to show me how many cats are in the area that way if my cat does not have a GPS collar after you searched every cat in the area to easily find my animalI enjoy using it.
3. Thank you for making this app possible for all of us to meet and talk about animals. It's good but I wish you didn't have to pay to add other than just birds to your favourites.
4. Waterfowl & birds of prey - has little to no info on the migration?????????? As an active birder App would be great if it provided current information- not year old info.Love the app.
5. The sources are acceptability, and I believe the developers have prepared keenly aware of special intentive based on their well-experienced knowledge, as well as an application feature that is user friendly.
6. It also told me that the raccoons in my backyard were leaving! (Phew?) It takes a bit of loading for me to download, but it's still a good app! This app is very useful.
7. Excellent work!App would be useful if it provided up to date info on most of the species.
8. Kinda annoyed me.I see turkey vultures all the time in our area and everything else.
9. It allows us to get closer with animals.
10. Also study theyre habits, and protect them.
11. I have one recommendation though.
