Customer Insights

1. I followed the directions (which aren't easy to find) and got all my points connected to the new login account.

2. There is no way to contact Mobile Bytes through the app, so I'm stuck in limbo not being able to scan receipts or access previous points.

3. An app that doesn't allow one to claim sales is worthy nothing.Went through the account creation process as a first time user.

4. It asked for a phone number as part of the process, and ended up linking to my old account.

5. Now I'm forced to create a user ID with an email address, and it crashes every time that I try to login.

6. Some kind of instruction from the app creators would have been nice! I still get errors when scanning receipts, and it tells me it can't assign points.

7. Tried to create new account with previous data, since this was the way to do it previously.

8. Make sure you know the phone number associated with your points.

9. If any business is thinking about using it for rewards, there are many other user and mobile friendly options to choose from.At first I couldn't log in.

10. However, when I scan again, it says the points have already been assigned.

11. Very buggy for a re-built app that always used to work perfectly!The recent update now requires a login.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Issues

1. Fix Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart : Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "" » Open MobileBytes Restaurant Loyalty » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MobileBytes Restaurant Loyalty app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MobileBytes Restaurant Loyalty" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall . If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing not working


2. Fix Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
