1. Thank youThe algorithm is not perfect but it allows you to be creative and play without worrying about replicating it later! The editing feature needs to be improved, I cant even figure out how to add a note where one does not exist (and some were not present in the output) but I am a huge fan! I was wishing something existed that allowed real instruments to be transcribed into sheet music just the other day and Voila! Melody scanner to the rescue!Oh, boy this needs work.

I have held off on paying for premium, only because I'm always broke, but it it totally feels like a perfect learning tool to combine with Fender Play, or Yousician, and if you like Melody Scanner, you should definately also try Fretboard Learn, HumOn, and maybe try Maestro.I got this app hoping it could listen to a song and give me the melody notes to help learn.

3. There was one melody that I wanted to play so badly on the piano and I couldn't find the exact one, but melody scanner came to the rescue and transcribed it almost perfectly.

5. The time limit being only one minute is definitely not helpful at all, especially when I want to have my band play a song play a three and a half minute song.

8. A large problem I found with my first scan was that the music was transcribed poorly when a video only had little noise.

9. The melody and notes were mostly correct but the length the notes were held for were all kinds of messed up.

10. I just wish that it could detect the notes and chords better, if this problem was solved then you got an app that can write any song into scores/tabs.

11. The only mode that will work well is the one where you plug in a midi device but at that point u could record midi with any decent dawThis is like Christmas.

1. Fix Melody Scanner Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Melody Scanner: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Melody Scanner App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Melody Scanner" » Open Melody Scanner » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Melody Scanner » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Melody Scanner app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Melody Scanner servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Melody Scanner" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Melody Scanner app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Melody Scanner might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Melody Scanner. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Melody Scanner then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Melody Scanner not working

2. Fix Melody Scanner Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Melody Scanner be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Melody Scanner not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Melody Scanner may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
