1. But need this fixed so I can back up my data, and send to a new LG phone.The app did not adequately explain why logging into my Google account was essential for a complete data transfer.

2. Why does it need to zip files when it could just simply transfer them!? Since it needs to zip them, you have to wait twice as long, and if you don't have enough space on the sending phone, you actually can't send the files.

5. Fixing the app would mean rewriting the guide that goes with it to underscore that Google data will only be transferred if you log into your account.I have to modify my review and apologize apparently several towers in the area were causing glitches and resets etc.

6. Select the data you wish to transfer and it disconnects your WiFi to activate WiFi-direct to make the transfer.

7. It worked right up to the point of starting the transfer then both phones lit up with "This phone is for sending only'.

8. Instead of taking minutes, I waited hours for the app to collect the data before waiting again for it to transfer to SD.

9. I've tried clearing data and cache for app, rebooting device, deleting a few apps, and deleting temporary files and raw data.

10. It would not allow either phone to receive data only send.

11. Power to anyone who tries and wins using this app.Two weeks ago this app worked perfectly to send a backup to a new phone, but that phone was defective and I had to return it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix LG Issues

1. Fix LG Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart LG: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the LG App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "LG" » Open LG Mobile Switch » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for LG » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear LG Mobile Switch app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from LG servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "LG Mobile Switch" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check LG app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, LG might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall LG. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall LG then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing LG not working


2. Fix LG Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make LG be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to LG not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, LG may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
