Drops Customer Insights

1. Or sometimes saying 我 is 1st tone, when I thought it was exclusively 5th? Maybe I'm wrong.Drops has become a major part of my day and allowed me to learn a lot of vocab in Cantonese which is drastically underserved by most language apps.

2. All in all thanks for the app!Being a pretty proficient non native of 廣東話, I find some very good structure to the app and design concept, but, and its a big BUT, having incorrect sound files for visual portions has to be fixed.

3. The learning model is great, but recently, several of the words I'm learning have the Chinese and pronunciation guide for the wrong word.

4. But at this rate, they should start paying me as their QC :) Edit 30/06/23: Seems like they fixed the errors they introducedTried it out and found at least three errors where the word said and the written text did not correspond.

5. The one caveat is that you don't get much grammar from drops but treated as a vocab resource, it's been great!!![Oct 3, 2018] Would be the perfect app if it included audio.

6. It would make more sense if it was only syllables and tones instead of some being syllables some being tones and others being the last letter or so of a syllable and the tone. The app has a gorgeous UI that persuades me to come back.

7. It's very frustrating because I can't learn the words like this, and it makes the matching games impossible to play.So far it seems decent.

8. The other great thing is it seems to work without data so I can study on the subway while duo lingo and the like all need a connection.

9. Absolute thumbs down is that, unlike Duolingo which has developed albeit with ads, I find this app a gimmick because the amount of the amount of time one can use the app a day and the subscription requirements to be able to use it for more time, just turn me off.

10. My other gripe is the fact that it teaches you phrases with words I haven't seen or learned, so it's much more difficult to remember.

11. The interface is nice and simple! THE BAD: the audio & jyutpin tones don't always sound like they're matching up.
