About iParent App

1. It has been designed to offer parents a quick and easy channel for keeping up-to-date with their son or daughter's performance and any relevant school information, including last minute calendar notifications or event invites.

2. Push notifications will advise parents about any timely updates for each child, including information such as recently released reports or exam results, any rewards or detentions and pastoral records.

3. Similar in nature to the iStudent app, the iParent app offers parents quick access to real-time school information about their child.

4. The iParent app offers parents a useful and configurable dashboard where they are able to view information and activities about all children at the school.

5. Parents can use the app to view and subscribe to your school communications including emails, SMS messages and push notifications to the app.

6. Please note: The iSAMS Parent app must be installed by your school in order for it to be accessible to parents.

7. Your school also controls the level of visibility of information and communication subscriptions offered to parents.

8. The data used by the iSAMS Parent app is encrypted to ensure that confidential information cannot be accessed by unauthorised personnel.

9. It is aimed at enhancing the information flow from your school/teachers to parents ensuring greater engagement between all parties.

iParent App Customer Insights

1. Basically i can see there is new letters or announcements made .. but i cannot access or response to any letter or announcements ... i have to go into and files and document archive folder in the setting section and search for any letters that are any relevant to me .

2. not recommended at all!I have to use it because this is the only thing the school send parents any notice ... but i cannot open any letters on weekly bulletin.

3. many times i may miss replying to vital events like event parents evening if i miss a letterFirst few words of notifications appear on top of the mobile screen, but I have found no way to read the whole message, including going into the app.

4. What, for example, does "camera integration" under "settings" mean and why on earth is "store calendar events" a sub option of that? It's apparent nonsense.Doesn't allow you to see attendance by class period in the app and the notification feature never worked.

5. Have to go into letters amd documents, however not all the letters and documents are there! All of these issues have been fed back to ISAMS and the school but nothinh ever gets fixed.

6. No integration with the four (!) other platforms the school uses for assignment tasks, so it's a further Easter egg hunt to understand what was missed and why.

7. Annoying that there is no landing page where I can pin the most relevant links or documents from the school.

8. So important messages don't always reach me.Can't find the key info that parents want to know - latest infractions or missed assignments.

9. Only advantage - gives access to apparently the official /authoritative school record.

10. No content in the app which my daughter's school have said is a problem with the software that should be resolved soon.

11. Really disappointing that there's such a disparity between the online desktop capability and the app though such as invoices not being available on the app.no push updates.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix iParent App Issues

1. Fix iParent App Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart iParent App: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the iParent App App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "iParent App" » Open iParent App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for iParent App » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear iParent App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from iParent App servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "iParent App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check iParent App app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, iParent App might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall iParent App. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall iParent App then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing iParent App not working


2. Fix iParent App Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make iParent App be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to iParent App not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, iParent App may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
