CamScanner HD Customer Insights

1. I've used it for YEARS with no problems, but I often have to scan sensitive documents, and I can no longer trust you as a company.Seems fraudulent or misleading with "trial offer" that is extremely short, and then you are charged $53.×× for a full year's subscription when I SWEAR it was offered for a longer trial period, and a low monthly amount when the trial period ends.

2. I'll give my money to a different app.Great app! But it's always irritating 🙄 when it says that you haven't signed up yet and after I will sign up it tells that password is wrong or can't sign up (even if I am entering the correct password) and when I want to export any pic from any categories it doesn't show it at all.

3. I cannot CHOSE manually the preset image processing (magic color, BW...) it is always on auto.Whether by intentional design, or by poor security practices, distributing a version infected with an advertising trojan was a breach of trust that will not be forgiven.

4. I haven't really seen any reviews for this about its other, unknown uses, but this app is even great for artists like myself!! i don't have a scanner so that I can get nice pictures of my drawings and found out about this app on tumblr! I tried it out and it works fantastically!!! You just have to mess with the settings a bit too get the right feel you're wanting, but that's totally worth it.

5. However, at some point, that changed, and recent versions of the app shipped with an advertising library containing a malicious module.Ok sooo.... if its 9/2019 and ur trying to download this app it wont sign-in!!!!!! You cannot sync ur stuff over.

6. The article "[update statment] camscanner app caught injecting malware" has a link to download the long way the correct app version.

7. Google Play support was NOT helpful.UNINSTALL THIS APP! Google search: "camscanner malware trojan".

8. I live it, it makes my life a whole lot easier!!!Disappointing I've been using the standard version of this app for 10 years.

9. To my surprise, some features disappeared: No more export as jpg / save to gallery No more change the page order when you scan in batch mode.

10. As I just bought a new phone, wanted to upgrade and got the new version with a licence since I've noticed ads being more intrusive and annoying.

11. So, it should we solved in an urgent basis 🤔 Then I may change star rating .🤔What's wrong with this app? Today I lost 99% of my stored info.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CamScanner HD Issues

1. Fix CamScanner HD Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CamScanner HD: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CamScanner HD App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CamScanner HD" » Open CamScanner HD - Scanner, Fax » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CamScanner HD » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CamScanner HD - Scanner, Fax app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CamScanner HD servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CamScanner HD - Scanner, Fax" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CamScanner HD app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CamScanner HD might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CamScanner HD. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CamScanner HD then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CamScanner HD not working


2. Fix CamScanner HD Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CamScanner HD be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CamScanner HD not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CamScanner HD may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

    I wanted to reach out to you regarding a situation that really annoys me, I just received a notification that they deducted $20,000 from my credit card for apparently using your services: Number 1. When I downloaded the application, it said it was FREE, and number 2. I deleted the application 2- 3 days after it was downloaded, I kindly request the return of my money since I did not even have the opportunity nor am I interested in using the application, much less deducting an unknown amount from nothing.

    I have your camscanner app and use it occasionally with great results. I do not require any kind of upgrade as I don't use it often, however when I was using the app yesterday an ad style pop up appeared and before I even realised I accidentally purchased a one-year subscription. I had my thumb on my phone and had looked away and this caused me to hit the purchase button and approve the payment using my fingerprint.

    I immediately logged a refund request through apple which should be evident. I am currently still waiting a reply.

    I just thought it may be best to also write in and have the subscription cancelled and see if you can offer any solutions.
