1. The NC Quick Pass HOV mobile application allows users with an active NC Quick Pass transponder account the ability to declare High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) status and travel in the express lanes free of charge for declared trips when they have 3 or more occupants in the vehicle.
2. In order to use the app, users must have an active NC Quick Pass transponder account in good standing and a properly installed transponder in the vehicle.
3. Users will need to register for a NC Quick Pass HOV account and provide the transponder number(s) and license plate number(s) for each vehicle.
4. Users are able to edit their NC Quick Pass HOV app account information, update their NC Quick Pass transponders associated with app as well as view past HOV declarations.
5. Users are also able to easily navigate to the NC Quick Pass website for NC Quick Pass transponder account management.
6. If you are in the 15-minute time period after entering an HOV status declaration and before the HOV status is active, the countdown will show the amount of time until the HOV status becomes active, and will indicate a “PENDING” HOV status.
7. Once registered, a simple interface allows users to declare HOV status and begin a trip, or declare a future HOV status by scheduling a trip.
8. Users may also extend or cancel active HOV status declarations.
9. When a transponder(s) has an active HOV status, the home screen will display the amount of time remaining on the active “HOV ON” declaration status, as well as the time at which the HOV status will end.
10. Please note any new HOV status declarations, as well as changes to the status of existing HOV declarations, must be made at least 15 minutes prior to traveling in the express lanes.
11. The app is currently only available for NC Quick Pass customers for use in North Carolina on the I-77 Express Lanes.
1. Most of us make the mistake and believe this app uses the same username/email and password as our NCQP account and there's where our frustration to login begins giving this app 1 star.Perhaps one day this app will work but right now its confusing at best! I was told by a NC Quick Pass representative that the mobile application "does not work the best and I should use a computer".
2. Once adding your transponder(s) and vehicle info, app login was successful and let me cycle HOV off/on without an issue. Will not allow me to login says invalid credentials, was able to confirm on the website I'm inputting everything correctly.
3. Once you have your NCQP account setup and transponder on hand, you MUST create ANOTHER account on this app with different credentials to login.
4. I have been there and set up an account.App setup instructions have to be followed carefully - must register and create account at website, which is separate website from QuickPass.
5. You cant use the website password for your account and if you try and register for this app separately, no matter what password you try to register with, it tells you its not strong enough.
6. It appears that the app developer needs to fix this issue quickly if we intend to use the toll lanes and HOV option.Won't allow me to login with fingerprints.
7. Still receive the same error regarding using my fingerprints to log in.PLEASE NOTE TO ALL NEW USERS! This app is NOT the same as your NC Quick Pass web account.
8. I'm on a Note 4 and I can use my fingerprints to unlock my phone, login to my bank accounts etc.
9. DO NOT RESPOND TELLING ME ITS A SEPARATE APP, I TRIED CREATING A LOGIN AND ITS NOT POSSIBLE.Won't login.
10. Meaning, if I needed this app to update my status, stating I had more than 3 individuals in my vehicle going into the HOV lane, I don't see how it would have worked! Someone needs to fix this problem.Never works! Joke.
11. Following their password strength guidelines, you can spend the rest of your natural life trying, and never get logged in.
