IntelliFire Customer Insights

1. Had fireplace installed a month ago only to find the WiFi module that was shipped with it was outdated.

2. At the current time, I can't log into the app because of server issues.IMPORTANT: when trying to connect to the intellifire device's Wi-Fi signal during initial setup, it is imperative that you TURN OFF your mobile (cellular) data connection.

3. Can connect to it via wifi, but beyond that, there is zero functionality.Update - now it's the following fall, and it still does not work.

4. There almost always seems to be a connection issue with the app that causes me to reset the WiFi on the heat and GLO fireplace.

5. I paid about $200 and the wifi module is not functioning because the app won't recognize my fireplace.

6. WiFi connection is great and all of my smart switches work fine.

7. Piece of junk, I want my $200 back!Please do not pay additional for the wifi module.

8. The instructions state to connect to the device WiFi ... Don't, just let it discover without connecting.

9. Similarly, if you are getting the no internet connection error on the last stage of the setup, disconnect from the intellifier module Wi-Fi and reconnect to your home.

10. I paid for a WiFi module that I can't use.*Update* App keeps crashing now.

11. The ECM (the module that keeps the fireplace connected to wifi) is a huge failure.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix IntelliFire Issues

1. Fix IntelliFire Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart IntelliFire: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the IntelliFire App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "IntelliFire" » Open IntelliFire » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for IntelliFire » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear IntelliFire app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from IntelliFire servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "IntelliFire" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check IntelliFire app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, IntelliFire might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall IntelliFire. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall IntelliFire then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing IntelliFire not working


2. Fix IntelliFire Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make IntelliFire be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to IntelliFire not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, IntelliFire may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
