If you change the setting for Gsam to NOT start on boot, and then manually launch it once the phone has finished fully booting, it sometimes worksExtended battery stats don't work without root even with the guide on how to do it (causes a crash) but beyond that, I've been using this battery monitor app forever.

2. One other thing that might be nice to see in a future update, which I haven't found yet, is a little addition to the page showing the application stats, whereby the values are updated every 'n' seconds to show a closer to real-time view of application process/battery usage (really useful for determining what processes might be running hot at a given moment).

3. Not a good sign though that the author isn't responding and how long it's been since this app was updated.Aces. As a root user, the 2 big guns haven't been up to snuff since Android 7.0 (BBS & Wakelock detector).

4. Root & permission granting work great and also has an option to force check for root (handy when updating your rom) which BBS lacks (that app needs to be uninstalled & reinstalled to re-enable root).

1. Restart GSam Battery Monitor Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the GSam Battery Monitor Pro App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GSam Battery Monitor Pro" » Open GSam Battery Monitor Pro » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GSam Battery Monitor Pro » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear GSam Battery Monitor Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GSam Battery Monitor Pro servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GSam Battery Monitor Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check GSam Battery Monitor Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GSam Battery Monitor Pro might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall GSam Battery Monitor Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GSam Battery Monitor Pro then reinstall.
