1. Being able to access the FT content in a neatly packaged app is awesome! The bubbles that expand on industry and articles on specific articles is great to get a high level idea of a particular industry or news piece.
2. Advertisements are clearly labeled as such. Now that the black screen bug seems to have been finally fixed, another one appeared: the app gets stuck on an old page i.e. when we click on the icon signalling a new title, we are taken to the wrong news, to a previous story.
3. FT really feels like an organization that trusts readers to come to their own conclusions without trying to push the common, easy, often overly simplistic narratives in the rest of news today. The best insight you can get on finance and geo- politics in a nice app.
4. Personalizing news content via "MyFT" provides a curated, personal news section the user can finetune granularly or broadly.Generally good app experience pairs well with paper.
5. As long as the app keep working, I will be a subscriber.Edit: I still like the app and the news content is great, but they make it really hard to cancel a subscription.
6. That said, it's not a disaster relative to other apps of its type, and really the value is the content, not the crappy app.Great Application! The layout is easy to use and understand.
7. Yes it seems to have been fixed nowFinancial Times (FT) is a terrific news app.
8. I subscribed to the wall street journal, but the app didn't work so I cancelled it, and decided to get my business news from FT.
9. Original Review: Great clear news.
10. It's clunky, doesn't sync across devices, and works badly when network coverage is slow (since it's fundamentally a web app and doesn't cache things offline effectively); there is an offline mode, but it's buggy.
11. The search function seems to provide a random smattering of result instead of providing all applicable results for the search terms used.Update (2/15/21): Still having blackout issues with the app.
