About Folder Player

1. Folder Player is FREE (NO Ads, NO in-app purchases! ), minimalistic but powerful alternative music player which uses folders to play music or audiobooks.

2. This player focuses on things that really are important: browsing and playing music on a portable device, and that's exactly what makes this app stand out. (by the way, same applies to other apps you like, rate them too!

3. Folder Player is a freeware which knows how to play whole directories.

4. But chances are, you have the same problem as I had before I created this app - you tried many players, and your mp3 tag-based access to your music still too cumbersome, because your world defined - yes - by folders.

5. It can browse and play individual files, folders, or full folder trees.

6. If you need advanced capabilities of a desktop player - Folder Player is probably not the right fit.

7. Play directories the same way you play individual audio tracks.

8. Already organized your music in folders?

9. There are many great mp3 players out there.

10. If you're happy with them, you probably don't need another one.

11. I would like to thank all the fans of this app, for your feedback, donations, and translations.

Folder Player Customer Insights

1. But, I found the interface a little clunky, especially with the "where was I" button that comes up when I was playing a song from a different folder, which jumps us back to where the music that was playing is, but blocks part of the rest of the UI.I am starting with 3 stars, having just installed it and set it up to be useful.

2. Surf Wisely. This music player does a good job of showing the music in a folder based on the file names, which I prefer so I can set up the order in which the songs we played based on their file names.

3. There is a long list of things wrong with the other players: they can't find my add-on SD card (won't look in the right place); they ignore directory structure and either give me a soup of 400 folders (albums) in alphabetical order or give me a choice of 30 versions of "Track 1"; they don't allow A-Z alphabetical sorting (how can you *not* include that).

4. It does everything it promised to do: allow me to organize my music by folder so I don't have to create new playlists when I move devices.

5. I'd love a landscape modeApp seems to have lots of really good audio features that other Music player apps are missing.

6. On my Google Pixel 7 Pro running Android 13, every time I use the app I have to turn shuffle off and navigate back to my music folder.

7. Occasionally it just stops playing for no reason, and that could be phone specific, but you fire it up and it know where to re-start, I'd say the experience was good, and I'm willing to spend money on this.I only have minor gripes for this app that are not worth taking a star away.

8. There are some features that you just have to learn (pressing the play button on a folder is not the same as pressing the play button on the first file in a folder).

9. Anyhow, it took me 2 minutes to install and set up, including knowing where my music is on startup; *it allows large type and high-contrast background!!* (visual problems).

10. I dont know why most mobile music players can't work like this one, but the fact that this is the only one which can see and play all my music makes it gold.

11. But I can't get to the rest of my music, even though I clicked on every folder it showed me.
