Stremium Customer Insights

1. Fitzy also allows you to add the channels you watch to a Favorites list, while Locast makes you wade through all the listings (I'm glad Locast gave me so many stations to make that an issue, though).

2. It not only features all of Stremium's functions, it also indicates the source of each channel displayed on the aggregator, e.g. Locast or SlingLots of free channels.

3. I would love to be able to uninstall the individual apps like Locast and Sling, and just use Stremium for accessing these services.

5. 2 knocks, however: Sometimes channels will just randomly fail to authorize and the favorites feature doesn't quite work because it still shows channels that aren't authorized and misses some that are.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Stremium Issues

1. Fix Stremium Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Stremium: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Stremium App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Stremium" » Open Stremium: Live TV w/ Cloud DVR » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Stremium » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Stremium: Live TV w/ Cloud DVR app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Stremium servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Stremium: Live TV w/ Cloud DVR" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Stremium app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Stremium might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Stremium. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Stremium then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Stremium not working


2. Fix Stremium Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Stremium be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Stremium not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Stremium may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I had purchased a 25 hour PVR service in January which also gave me basic service. I added Frndly tv to my Stremium account as well. Today I had to relog in to my account on the Amazon firestick. Now I no longer have my PVR service, basic channels or Frndly tv.

  • Can't get the correct channels for the city I live in on Stremium. Keep getting NY/NJ channels, want Pittsburgh, PA. I tried disconnecting VPN and still get NY channels. Using locast.org. I have paid accounts with both locast.org and Stremium. Pittsburgh, PA was recently added to Locast.org. Perhaps Stremium does not recognize it? Feel free to call me at 412-463-5449
