Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Remote Media Manager Issues

1. Fix Remote Media Manager Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Remote Media Manager: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Remote Media Manager App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Remote Media Manager" » Open Remote Media Manager for VLC » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Remote Media Manager » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Remote Media Manager for VLC app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Remote Media Manager servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Remote Media Manager for VLC" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Remote Media Manager app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Remote Media Manager might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Remote Media Manager. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Remote Media Manager then reinstall.
