1. My question is this: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD VOICE RECORDER?! For nearly three years, I've been releasing music and try other recording apps since the voice recorder on my music making software was not working (that's another story for another day).

2. Switched to different appMost recording functions of the "free" (ad supported) voice recorders in that it provides the ability to select both the sampling frequency & the encoding bitrate; most others can only set the frequency.

3. I need these recordings and made serious effort to save them but stupid app makes it impossible!!!!A nightmare to get simple access to your recordings and then do a simple copy of the group of them to your computer.

4. I have found CBR 32kb/s @ 44.1kHz to be quite good for voice & takes one quarter the memory of a "default" recording.

5. It would be 4 stars, but when you go to play back they've stuck video adds with sound that cover the start so you have to mute the advert and rewind your recording.

6. I spent 20 mins trying to locate the mp3 files for the recordings and they are impossible to find! This is so annoying.

7. Other recorders give you a nice, simple, clearly labeled, easy to locate folder that stores your recordings.

8. The rest of the features of this product matter not, if I must battle with the file structure to get them off my phone without jumping through hoops with each file individually.I started getting a high pitched squeal after almost a year of use.

9. 0/5 stars.The recording quality is pretty good for a free app.

10. I can't even locate where the files are being saved (in "data", etc..but completely difficult to find no matter what I do).

11. Now with my new phone, I can't store to my SD card (despite changing the settings) or copy to my card, and the ads when you open it automatically play and are so annoying.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Voice Recorder Issues

1. Fix Voice Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Voice Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Voice Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Voice Recorder" » Open Voice Recorder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Voice Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Voice Recorder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Voice Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Voice Recorder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Voice Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Voice Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Voice Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Voice Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Voice Recorder not working


2. Fix Voice Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Voice Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Voice Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Voice Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
