Dish Music Customer Insights

1. Quit lying to people when you know damn well spotify wont work.like others have said, I couldnt scroll down to check all the boxes to launch it and also does NOT support Google music.

2. Before Dish advertised this, they probably should've worked out all the bugsWell when I use my personal library of music I put it on Shuffle, and it don't switch to the next song all it does is Buffer and the song keeps playing, can't switch to the next song.

3. Saw in app that "device not compatible with spotify." Closed app and turned off dish music in tv menu.

4. Spotify is compatible with play-fi but NOT dish music.

5. They can hear you but you can't hear them.I was hoping to stream Sirius XM channels available through my Dish Network account.

6. I chose spotify, hit play, and lost all sound.

7. If you want to use headphones, instead of speakers, you are limited to only TV sound, no music.

8. My only issue is that!!When I first started using the app about two years ago it worked great, sound quality was fantastic.

9. Was led by the Dish Network docs to believe this would work.

10. That being said.....the last six months the app can not even make it through a song without saying connection lost, then you go to reconnect and absolutely nothing happens.

11. Everything from Dish is garbage.Could not connect to spotify.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dish Music Issues

1. Fix Dish Music Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Dish Music: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dish Music App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dish Music" » Open Dish Music » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dish Music » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dish Music app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dish Music servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dish Music" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dish Music app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dish Music might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dish Music. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dish Music then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dish Music not working


2. Fix Dish Music Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dish Music be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dish Music not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dish Music may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
