Deliveroo Customer Insights

1. UselessI cannot believe the absolute vile and greedy, customer-unfriendly business decision to copy Uber, and introduce a "premium delivery" (which by the way you have to pay for even as a deliveroo plus member), just to get your food to you quicker without it going cold, further sucking the blood of the customer to get what is already an overpriced to hell, lukewarm meal, which has a minimum of 10 pounds added on top of the standard menu item.

2. Prices are also higher compared to competitors, without added benefits.The customer support is shockingly bad, and on top of the variety of fees it charges, it adds a premium to each item you order as well.

3. If things go wrong, good luck getting a refund because live chat with straight up lie about attempting to contact the restaurant, send you canned responses and close the chat, and you'll have the same experience trying to contact them by email.

4. Classic minimal investment.Cannot log in! For some reason the app keeps logging me out and when I try to log back in, it demands that I use a 'magic link' sent to my email, and will immediately sign me out if using my password.

5. Stores and restaurants will leave you waiting for ages confirming an order, holding your money, and you're basically powerless to cancel it as the support is useless.

6. If you see something you want, order it or you may never get to as restaurant availability varies wildly based on day and time, even when they say they should be open.

7. Also, there aren't any descriptions of the ingredients of the item.Not set up in a way that you can modify food items you order (i.e. remove a topping).

8. Impossible to find new restaurants after a while as they'll only recommend places you've already ordered from, and the list refreshes back to the top every time you check a menu.

9. I'm aware that Deliveroo has a bit of a bad reputation for taking more commission on orders than other ordering apps, which is counter to supporting the hospitality industry.

10. But hoping this is an overstatement, as there are lots of great restaurants on it.Poor quality app with no thought to UX or features people would actually want.

11. There is no point ordering from a restaurant close to your location, if there's a delivery much further away from you and the restaurant, you won't get your food first.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Deliveroo Issues

1. Fix Deliveroo Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Deliveroo: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Deliveroo App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Deliveroo" » Open Deliveroo: Food & Shopping » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Deliveroo » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Deliveroo: Food & Shopping app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Deliveroo servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Deliveroo: Food & Shopping" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Deliveroo app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Deliveroo might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Deliveroo. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Deliveroo then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Deliveroo not working


2. Fix Deliveroo Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Deliveroo be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Deliveroo not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Deliveroo may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
