Cielo Home Customer Insights

1. During the summer I may have to switch back to Nethome.Set up needed a phone call to customer service, because it would not allow me to pair with the control via the control's buttons, and in the manual mode it didn't have the model of my Samsung remote on the list.

2. (You can make wifi network visible to connect but when making it not visible after connecting, it will lose it's connection.) I feel the features listed should be standard and are not out of the ordinary.

3. Stay far away from these guys.I got this for the smart things compatibility, but otherwise the app is essentially a copy of the nethome app you get when using one of the $20 USB wifi adapter you can install in most units.

4. One more improvement they could make is allow entering a hidden Wi-Fi SSID, not just selecting from a list of visible ones.This app "just works".

5. I took away a star for the lack of control over the "wide vane" (side to side) fins on my Mitsubishi mini split.

6. LED light comes on when it is anything happens to the unit (on, temp adjust, swing adjust, etc) and there's no way to turn the LED off permanently so you can sleep undisturbed.

7. Update app to provide these features and I will update this review."Swing" button no longer works.

8. Every time you press any button it beeps loudly, disturbing your partner when she's asleep and you're just trying to adjust the temp.

9. It has an easy interface, it works with my Honeywell portable air conditioner, and it supports all of the features that the AC supports itself.

10. It also needs to be refreshed frequently to show you the current status of your devices.Started out working fine.

11. Usual annoying corporate roll out with bad documentation.Slow app, Thermostat takes nearly a minute to respond to any touch controls.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cielo Home Issues

1. Fix Cielo Home Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cielo Home: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cielo Home App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cielo Home" » Open Cielo Home » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cielo Home » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cielo Home app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cielo Home servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cielo Home" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cielo Home app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cielo Home might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cielo Home. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cielo Home then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cielo Home not working


2. Fix Cielo Home Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cielo Home be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cielo Home not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cielo Home may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Cielo software App. will not open on any of my devices. The App tries to load, then quits, then goes back to the desktop. I have removed the App and reloaded it several time but it all ends the same...The app will not start.
