1. deleted applove this app, hope the fix works!Does not work,Bus stops marked on the wrong side of the road and difficult to access route map.

2. All of that means nothing if your planning your trips bassed incorrect plot points for bus stops..... until this changes it's 1 star from me.... and that kinda sucks because I really like this all when it works and would love to give it 5 stars.

3. Get to the bus stop and the bus stop is actually "7386" going south, and your bus left 20 minutes ago and the next on comes in 45.

4. Meanwhile stop "7385" Is across the street going north and right on time.

5. But now, the app is useless as I can no longer see bus times and it has been like that for a week so so now.downloaded just now, entered basic route and no data.....retired several times.

6. As in, I look for stop "7385" going south on Ochterloney.

7. Most obvious is bus stop #'s being on the wrong side of the road.

8. But it is unfortunately not trustworthy enough.Says no route info everytime I try to find a route.

9. Sent numerous crash reports.Would've given it 5 stars as I've used it ever since I moved to Halifax a few years ago.

10. While it seems they are fairly well tapped in to the time schedule give or take a couple minutes.

11. Appears that because there is no current Express bus runningtoday (Sunday) it won't let me see or plan a trip for tomorrow.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Halifax Bus Issues

1. Fix Halifax Bus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Halifax Bus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Halifax Bus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Halifax Bus" » Open Halifax Bus » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Halifax Bus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Halifax Bus app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Halifax Bus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Halifax Bus" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Halifax Bus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Halifax Bus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Halifax Bus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Halifax Bus then reinstall.
