About CA Mobile OTP

1. With CA Mobile OTP, you use your mobile device to generate a passcode that can be used to verify a MasterCard or Visa electronic payment transaction, or to login to an online account.

2. When you are prompted to authenticate to your online account or to provide a passcode to shop online, you simply run the CA Mobile OTP app, enter your personal PIN, and an OTP is displayed on the device.

3. The CA Mobile OTP app is an all-purpose one-time passcode (OTP) generator that provides an extra layer of security when you shop online or access online accounts.

4. The OTP can be generated without a connection to your mobile network allowing you to authenticate any time, anywhere using the one-time passcode generated on your device.

5. This app supports EMV standards when generating the passcode for authenticating MasterCard and Visa online payment transactions.

6. Your card issuer, for example, your bank or the organization where you have an online account, must use the CA Technologies authentication solution.

7. CA Mobile OTP also supports HOTP standards for generating one-time passcodes to use when authenticating to Web portals and VPNs.

8. You will run the CA Mobile OTP app on your device and enter the information provided by the organization to activate OTP authentication with this organization.

9. They will give you a link to download the account onto your device, along with your userid and an activation code.

10. You then choose a personal PIN that will be used to generate an OTP for this account.

11. You must sign up for the additional security with them.

1. Unless I enter the OTP I cant login to enter and disable CA mobile OTP generation through bank portal.PATHETIC WAY TO LOGIN Dear SBI team, from where did you get such a genius thought that all customer account should become inactive.

2. Whoever designed this, test it before releasing it.Failed to work after registered mobile number SIM was installed in a new phone as I could not get URL nor could log into net banking as OTP was unavailable to enter in the next screen after login ID was entered.

3. This is from a person who is using computers and Internet from last 27 years.By mistake, I uninstalled CA Mobile OTP app and now I can't login to my Bank of Baroda internet banking.

4. This was a year back.But the absolute uselessness of CA MOBILE OTP has pushed me to now close my bank account as well as uninstall this app.

5. This is a pathetic app, I had registered and verified everything on this app to get my bank account's password.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CA Issues

1. Fix CA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CA App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CA" » Open CA Mobile OTP » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CA » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CA Mobile OTP app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CA servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CA Mobile OTP" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CA might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CA then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CA not working


2. Fix CA Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
