UBox Customer Insights

1. The other person still receives notifications but cannot see the video feed at all, even in-app.Activity detection is horrible, it will catch shadows and trees moving in the distance but if a person walks by or a vehicle pass by it seldom detects them no matter how you apply the settings.

2. If you get this camera, save yourself the time & cash and skip the SD card.Won't let me pay for my subscription! I had someone trying to break into my vehicle last night and being able to pay would have helped with law enforcement needing to see the video.

3. What's the point of having a camera if you can't view the video feed? In addition to that, the motion detection feature is horrible.

4. App only allows video recording in 9 second clips and will not let you zoom or enlarge photos or video clips.I agree with others in that the camera is well made and the video is crystal clear.

5. Also you have to subscribe and pay to see video recordings after free 7 day trial but there's an SD memory card slot I will insert one to see if it will record to card.It's great when the app actually works.

6. The camera feed access is shared between myself and one other person but after a month or so, only I remain able to access the camera feed despite both of us receiving the notifications.

7. When it works.So my device was working fine until this morning after I got an update for the app, now when I get notifications of movement, the device won't allow me to view outside where I have the unit located.

8. The problem is that, more often than not, the app fails to retrieve the video feed.

9. Hopefully you all can reissue out a fix to take care of the problem!!!The app doesn't popup on my smartphone screen when motion activated like Ring app does.

10. The app crashes anytime split screen is attempted! Hopefully that's rectified soon! Another negative is that if you have multiple cameras you must constantly switch between them in the app? Come on why not have them run simultaneously at least more than just one.

11. I find also that this app is draining my cell phone battery much faster than before I installed it.Somewhat useful....... Once per download.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix UBox Issues

1. Fix UBox Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart UBox: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the UBox App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "UBox" » Open UBox » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for UBox » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear UBox app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from UBox servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "UBox" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check UBox app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, UBox might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall UBox. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall UBox then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing UBox not working


2. Fix UBox Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make UBox be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to UBox not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, UBox may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I pair the camera with app, I make sure about wifi connection, still after a while the door video camera would announce wrong name or password, reset. And I do reset and pair them. Same issue repeats.

  • I have been chrged 3/19 Twice incorrectly threw your Ubox App for 3.99 twice & on 3-1 39.99 for a yrs service of Cloud service to be connected to my UBOX/UBIA app I haven't had service and you can chk theres been no service even since 3-3 You can chk I Didn't even have a cam to since then... Then I finally get a cam to connect to the App on 4-15 it doesnt even Allow me to connect to that yrs worth of storage for when the cam uskng UBox to keep each triggering for 30 days. And Ubox doesng even allow me the option to connect to that service and wants me to pay for a new subscription after a 7 day trial. I want my $ back so i can connect the Cam I just got

  • I purchased two Wyave solar cameras in October 2021 from you via Amazon. They have been working fine until about two weeks ago one of my cameras stopped charging and the batteries went flat. I took the solar panel off with the batteries and recharged it. I then reconnected it to the camera, it worked fine for 4 days and went flat again. It appears my solar panel has failed. How to I get a replacement for it.

  • Following the purchase of a Smart Wireless Video Doorbell I am having difficulties in receiving camera footage.

  • Hello, I have a 4G camera that runs on solar energy. I have the camera installed in the field, away from home. Often when I log in to the app, the camera is in sleep mode and I can not connect. To connect you always have to travel a long distance to turn it off and on again. When re-enabled, it transfers the image to the ubox app without any problems.
