Why should I report an Issue with NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale?

1. This is the newest version of my NIH stroke scale app, meant to help experienced clinicians score the NIH stroke scale.

2. This version automatically scores, has pictures to show the patient, and gives a breakdown of the score at the end.

3. Pictures were updated to the newest 2024 version of the pictures for testing aphasia.

4. It is not intended for diagnosis or treatment, but is intended to help experienced clinicians with scoring.

1. Minimised the app to view other related content and it reset the scoring and I lost valuable time.

1. Fix NIHSS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart NIHSS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the NIHSS App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NIHSS" » Open NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NIHSS » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NIHSS servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check NIHSS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NIHSS might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall NIHSS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NIHSS then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NIHSS not working

2. Fix NIHSS Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NIHSS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NIHSS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NIHSS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
