1. Before you can find it with a compass you have to do some calculations using your GPS location, magnetic variation, compass azimuth and satellite position.

2. Access to a camera is required to imitate a 'look through view' or 'mirror effect' which allows to align the satellite dish (lnb arm) with the displayed arrow.

3. Align, in azimuth, the offset arm of the satellite dish to the cyan arrow on the phones display and the satellite dish is aligned in azimuth with the satellite.

2. For some reason my phone compass would be off, like the dish arm was magnetic, so with this app's front facing camera option I placed my phone well below the dish and aligned immediately.i think the only best app that fulfill it's purpose.

1. Fix Satellite Director Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Satellite Director: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Satellite Director App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Satellite Director" » Open Satellite Director » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Satellite Director » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Satellite Director app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Satellite Director servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Satellite Director" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Satellite Director app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Satellite Director might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Satellite Director. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Satellite Director then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Satellite Director not working

2. Fix Satellite Director Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Satellite Director be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Satellite Director not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Satellite Director may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
