1. this APP can change the light of the LED strip according to the rhythm of the music. operation is very simple, easy to learn and easy to use.

Lotus Lantern Customer Insights

1. Most of the standard functions work but when in music mode the lights are just continually spazzing out in all colors with no way to control the speed.

2. If you have a large music collection.. have fun scrolling from A-Z every time you want to switch to a song that starts with S.All functions work as intended, however I do wish the schedule function worked after I closed the app, or at the very least saved.

3. Slow, crashes alot, can't save presets, randomly turns off, the only music option is for downloaded files, and Bluetooth mandatory(good luck to your battery life), and I still haven't figured out how to just turn it off.

4. Once the devs work out the bugs, this product at this price point would definitely earn 5 stars from me, but until then, I recommend prospective buyers look elsewhere.I got the lights as an Easter present and then downloaded the app.

5. If I set it to microphone, the disco lights turn the mic sensitivity all the way up that's an actual strobe, when I go to the "strobe settings" the fastest I can make the lights flash is about the speed of a turn signal.

6. I'd love to see more work go into the app, make it more responsive, have a way to have it sync to the music better but the one thing that needs to be fixed is the strobe function.

7. In turn makeing it so the lights wont react to my music.

8. The color selection interface is great, but if the lights won't connect, what's the point? Also, it's super weird that the app requires permission to use my phone's GPS.

9. I want to listen to my music, without having it be out loud and have the lights react.

10. Connecting to the lights is odd, doesn't show up in my phone blue tooth list but will connect via the app.

11. When I tried to see if they would work with the 7 color gradual change nope just only did the same ugly 3 colors.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lotus Lantern Issues

1. Fix Lotus Lantern Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lotus Lantern: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lotus Lantern App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lotus Lantern" » Open Lotus Lantern » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lotus Lantern » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lotus Lantern app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lotus Lantern servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lotus Lantern" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lotus Lantern app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lotus Lantern might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lotus Lantern. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lotus Lantern then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lotus Lantern not working


2. Fix Lotus Lantern Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Lotus Lantern be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Lotus Lantern not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Lotus Lantern may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I just ordered 60 ft lights. They arrived and the end part of the lights seem to not be receiving the green color. I just took them out of the box and they were like this. If I want to return them for a refund is that possible since my order was very recent (within a month ago), and also do I need to return it through amazon or somehow else? My address is 1901 N Walnut ST Ellensburg WA 98926. What other information do you need?

  • Lotus lantern apps I download from google play store and install on my car android player. But it cant detect or connect to the LED.
    Suspected Might because of the bluetooth in car player is only support one way mode. Or else no idea, is there anyway to solve this ?
    Else without the music rythms mode the light is no nice any more. And cant direct control the light through my car android player's apps

  • Only one of the colors work on the color wheel. If I try to use any of the other colors half of the LED lights come on but the rest don’t. I have only had them for a couple of days.

  • I was using my LED lights and I was using the mic mode and put it on disco. I wanted it to stop so I changed it to a colour, I then realised that the colour that I chose didn’t match the colour that the LED lights were showing. I tried turning it on and off. Deleted the app and everything but it still does it.

  • i got my led lights about 7 or 8 months ago and they have been amazing until a couple days ago when they stopped working. i tried to reconnect them with my app, but they were disconnected. i also tried to turn them on with the remote which also didn’t work. i’ve looked up how to reconnect them to the app and it’s only told me they should automatically connect. how do i fix this? or do i need to buy new lights?

  • I ordered my led light strips about a month ago and now they won’t turn on. The outlet works with other cords so I know it’s the lights not the outlet itself. Can u send new set of lights since these were obviously a waste of money since they stopped working in a month

  • Hi, so my LED strips that I have in my room are only about 3 months old. They have been working perfectly fine for a while but now they do not turn on with the remote and it isn’t connected to the app anymore.   • I have the outside and inside lights. My inside lights cut on when I cut the car on and push the red power button but not sure how to change the colors? Both set of lights have the same app. Am I supposed to connect to Bluetooth? Can someone call me instead of emailing back thanks.

  • I had some of my lights stop working but since I have multiple sets hung up I just switched around the white box to see if that was the problem and it was so I was wondering if I could just purchase just the white box that everything plugs in to.
