1. I highly recommend this app for people who want to memorize the script to heart but I would say watch a video about pronunciation before jumping into this if you have a vague idea of letters you can use this betterSo far excellent! I appreciate the simplicity, there's no focus on next-level design or fun flares - it just does its job, and it does it well :) looking forward to learn the russian alphabet, до свидания!It's pretty much the best app availible.
2. Cyrillic is not difficult to learn so you do not need a lot in order to learn it.I wanted to learn Russian because of my boyfriend but the language apps don't start with the alphabet - just straight into vocabulary and sentences which only helps you with languages using the Latin Alphabet, so I downloaded a few Cyrillic teaching apps & this is the one I kept.
3. What they should do is rerecord the letters for their pronunciation only(in quiz etc) and remove Bokva. This is a superb aid to learning the Cyrillic alphabet.
4. I like the formatting better than other apps but I had to download because it just wasn't worth the five second loud advertisement between every ten seconds of play.Been learning Russian for about 2 days, I've tried a lot of different apps, watched a lot of videos.
5. The learning style suits me perfectly & with reasonable practice (5 days a week for ~30 minutes) it took about 2 weeks to memorize Cyrillic, now I can read Russian well and can move to learning my vocabulary.
6. Starting each letter with "Bokva" is redundant and doesn't help, rather waste valuable time and reduce ability of unconciously link a sound to the letters.
7. There is the occasional advertisement after each learning game that pops up, but in saying that I guess they have to get paid some how.I think this is an amazing app for practicing the Cyrillic script but I don't think this should be your only recourse.
8. You could always go Premium if you want more but for merely recognizing Cyrillic letters you are fine enough with the free version.
9. This is useful in itself in teaching the bare basics, I recommend it as a supplement once you've gotten a few things down and become familiar with the shapes of the letters and what most of their sounds are.
10. None have covered the names for the cyrillic alphabet, struggling to pick up the alphabet, but I'm still new so no surprise there.
11. There's too much focus on name of letters than sound.
