Why should I report an Issue with MEGA?

Also, logs your data more than they act like; as evidenced by the files in ./storage/emulated/0/Android/data/mega.privacy.android.app/files/MEGA Logs/ That being said, the cloud storage is pretty sick, the download speeds are nothing to scoff at, and it's used by enough third-party app sources that it's worth keeping aroundTHANK YOU for bringing back the loop video feature! This is my absolute favorite cloud storage service! 5⭐ s!! BUT another feature that would make it better, is the ability to add custom "picture descriptions" for each image & video file —— ORIGINAL review (5/13/22): The built-in video player is fantastic but it's lacking the ability to loop the video that's playing.

2. Last time I tried MEGA I had the worst experience with a cloud storage service I've ever had, terrible download speeds, terrible support, constant crashing etc, but I decided to give it another go a couple years later and lo and behold, It's nearly perfect, all the issues I once had are gone.

3. Everytime im on google or whatnot and I see a mega folder that I wanna download, it gives me the option to open up the app which I do and on the off chance it does open up the folder in the app, it never imports it to my cloud or downloads it to my phone.

4. I use mega to upload photos from my phone to free up space but everytime I try to upload a whole folder (over 200 images) the app crashes out and I have to open it again for the transfer to continue.

5. I have to go to the app information and force close it to get rid of the "download complete" every time.I upload a lot of videos to mega so I can share them with people and save space on my phone/computer.

6. It doesn't even show the real size of the files being uploaded but it approximates it and doesn't get updated in real time, thus doesn't tell when it's finished.

7. I've used mega for years and will continue to do so but the android app crashes everytime I upload more than about 200 items at once.

8. Would be nice to be able to remove the 3-dot context menu on folders in preference of a long-press gesture, for sake of cleaning up and modernizing the UI.Extremely slow, constantly freezes, constantly crashes.

9. This issue isn't device specific as it was the same for my OnePlus device as well.Solid app, but would be nice to have animated previews and the ability to apply custom sorting/views to individual folders.

10. A video that would normally take only 3 minutes, now takes 1 hour, that is, if it doesn't fail.

11. I had a video downloading earlier that took 45 minutes just to get to 54%, only to fail and start over from 0% again.

1. Fix MEGA Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart MEGA: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the MEGA App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MEGA" » Open MEGA » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MEGA » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear MEGA app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MEGA servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MEGA" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check MEGA app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MEGA might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall MEGA. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MEGA then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MEGA not working

2. Fix MEGA Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MEGA be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MEGA not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MEGA may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
