1. Since Tesla browser prohibits usage of RFC 1918 network address, the VpnService is used to allocate a real public IP to the phone.

2. Simple app which allow users to project Android Auto using Tesla's built in browser.

3. Your Tesla needs to have support for hardware accelerated video for this app to work.

4. No traffic is redirected through the VPN, the VpnService is solely used for IP allocation purpose.

5. All Tesla's supporting Netflix/YouTube/Disney+ should be able to use this app.

TesAA Customer Insights

1. I'm seeing the edge of Android Auto cut off on my browser in the Tesla Model Y (2022) - not sure if this is something I can fix on my side or needs to be adjusted in the config, but that's OK if not! It's pretty cool anyhow and doesn't break anything (since AA puts most of the touchable elements not at the very edge anyhow).

2. The key to it is when you are stuck at the grey screen telling you you have to connect to the internet, you must, the first time, click the start service manually link within the app.

3. The tesla browser just says please connect to Hotspot and make sure tesla aa is running on the phone.

4. This is *so much better* than the tesla stock interface, especially since it can handle notifications from other apps.It was working fine until last week except that I had to refresh quite frequently, which is not the safest thing to do while on the road.

5. Thanks to the #aawireless slack channel for the support! So far looking like a waste of $5 as it just sits in a loop on my Tesla M3 browser.

6. Theoretically it works but with Audio switching away from Bluetooth makes the full screen option muted.Update : i upgraded my review to 3 stars.

7. One thing I did to make it more reliable was to go to wifi settings in your Tesla and make sure it stays connected even in drive.

8. But then I was able to go back into the app increase the resolution and it worked just fine.MY2023 Worked beautifully the 1st time I tried it.

9. I'm using Tesla's premium connection plan and didn't need to enable tethering on my phone.

10. Reconnecting when I reenter the car takes a minute because the Tesla doesn't reconnect to the wifi hotspot automatically.

11. The browser screen is stuck at "turn on the hotspot and open the app" although my set up hasn't changed.
