1. The app still works flawlessly on my older phone (LG G5 on Nougat) but after switching to LG V35 on Android Pie it only works for local videos as it has lost the ability to stream from LAN (samba) shares! Now every attempt to stream a video from a network share gets the app stuck at "Checking the file format..." for several seconds and eventually fails with "This file cannot be read by the embedded audio/video decoder of the device", which is incorrect because it works perfectly if I copy that same file to the local storage on the phone.

2. The latter is a must for my headset, which only supports my phone in one orientation (which for some weird reason seems inverted to most other apps I've tried.) The ability to change screen size and aspect ratio on the fly is very welcome, too.

3. To get that last 1% covered: is there a way to go to the previous/next files in a folder without using the Focus UI, such as with a connected bluetooth keyboard/controller (even just knowing what keys/keycodes to send would be great as I can just remap them with Keymapper or something)? Thanks!This is the first and only VR Theater app that lets me watch movies from my SD card without altering screen resolution in weird ways.

4. Also, I tried different file managers -- and they all can stream that video from the network share if I select another video player (e.g. MX Player), it's only this app which cannot do it (even though it worked fine before on nougat and the older phone).

5. The app seems to not be able to find my videos anymore, nor can I connect to it via, going to the video, and manually choose it to view in the app.

6. The only other concern is there was a periodic flashing light on the rightWorks but could be better Pros: It let's you open streams if you open them via another app which supports standard video streams.

7. If this little network streaming bug is fixed I'll gladly update the rating to 5 stars, because otherwise the app and the author deserve all the praise!The best 3D and VR player on the Play Store by a large margin.

8. I was looking for a simple app that will just allow me to watch videos and block out the background.

1. Fix VR Theater Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart VR Theater: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the VR Theater App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "VR Theater" » Open VR Theater for Cardboard » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for VR Theater » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear VR Theater for Cardboard app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from VR Theater servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VR Theater for Cardboard" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check VR Theater app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, VR Theater might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall VR Theater. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall VR Theater then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing VR Theater not working

2. Fix VR Theater Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make VR Theater be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to VR Theater not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, VR Theater may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
