1. The Alternative Fueling Station Locator app helps you find fueling stations that offer electricity, natural gas, biodiesel, ethanol (E85), propane, and hydrogen.
2. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center, which houses the most comprehensive, up-to-date database of alternative fueling stations in the United States.
3. Use your current location or enter a custom location to find the 20 closest stations within a 30-mile radius.
4. View the stations on a map or see a list of stations ordered by distance from your location.
5. Select your alternative fuel of choice and adjust the custom filters to fit your needs.
6. The app draws information from the U. S.
7. The database contains location information for more than 25,000 alternative fueling stations throughout the country.
1. Also, it seems the Google Maps license of the developer has expired (again), since every time you open the app you get the message 'This page can't load Google Maps correctly.' Please fix. This app gives me more EV charging stations than any other app.
2. If you're not going to pay for current map integration with Google maps use an alternative map.Although some stations don't have E85 when the app says it does, I still am able to find other stations nearby.
3. Still have 2 stars because the stations listed are up to date, even though they were still limited to filter.I am so glad to find an app that locates E85 stations on the East Coast! (I used Propel + Pearson Fuels apps on the West Coast.) However, some of the listings are out of date.
4. Overall, the app is pretty ugly and useless: pins on the map are hard to press, no filter on electric charger connector, only shows stations within a small radius, you can’t just scroll the map and see what is around. If you look past the functional failure of the app, it has one huge benefit.
5. Los Angeles.Uses Google Maps API incorrectly (keeps showing an error all the time and says it’s for development purposes only).
6. App is useful to find alternative fuel stations, although limited in functionality.
7. It would be useful if you could scroll the map to a location and have a 'search here' function like Google Maps.
8. There's a Google Maps error that pops up every time but it doesn't seem to effect anything.
9. They're trying to use Google Maps but that costs money and they haven't paid.
10. Other stations listed are accurate. No ads, that's good.
11. If this is public data, they should collaborate with Open Street Maps. The app is pretty good.
