1. Sorry.Trash and a waste of time, not only does it not work it forces you to spend money on basic features other apps have for free like mirroring your screenUsed to click on share to chrome cast & away i went with images, video etc on screen.

Using a movie site I have always streamed from I can't even get the screen to choose the movie without being directed to some advertisement or "congratulations you've been select to win this prize!! Just complete this survey!" Even with recent updates it just seems to have gotten worse.This chrome cast when working is awesome.

3. just incase you couldn't tell 😁Works well for me actually but after 30 mins or so an obtrusive banner appears saying "UPGRADE NOW" that doesn't seem to go away for a long time so I have to exit and restart which can be difficult depending on what I'm streaming.

4. If you click on the Chromecast icon, it offers to cast to some devices - but NOT my Samsung TV! When trying to cast, it shows a bar code.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TV Cast Issues

1. Fix TV Cast Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TV Cast: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TV Cast App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TV Cast" » Open TV Cast for Chromecast » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TV Cast » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TV Cast for Chromecast app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TV Cast servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TV Cast for Chromecast" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TV Cast app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TV Cast might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TV Cast. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TV Cast then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TV Cast not working


2. Fix TV Cast Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TV Cast be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TV Cast not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TV Cast may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
