NavShip Customer Insights

1. The developers are working to add certain aspects to the app and need feedback from people (especially in the U.S.) as what they would like to see added to the program.

2. But still a useful app to use next to paper maps.Was a great app but I don't have a boat anymoreHad to unistall, looks to be great app however can not change unit of measurement.

3. But movable bridges are not marked, and some connections from lakes to canals or canals to rivers are not marked.

4. When I did the Gulf of Mexico and Florida rivers and coast are not supported to route.

5. Fuel always stays metric.Took me over land; didn't follow river.

7. After hearing from the developers it becomes clear that they are sincerely trying to make this the best app possible.

10. I was offered a refund and also asked what I would desire of the app to keep it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NavShip Issues

1. Fix NavShip Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NavShip: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NavShip App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NavShip" » Open NavShip - Waterway Routing » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NavShip » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NavShip - Waterway Routing app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NavShip servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NavShip - Waterway Routing" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NavShip app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NavShip might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NavShip. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NavShip then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NavShip not working


2. Fix NavShip Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NavShip be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NavShip not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NavShip may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
