1. If you find this free USB camera app useful, please explore "MScopes Pro" which has added features such as full screen without buttons, watermark free, pinch zoom and pan, camera resolution changes, adjustable color parameters, presets, support for PNG image type, cross-hair, etc. 1. 2.
2. MScopes enables the users to view, take pictures and record videos for USB camera based digital microscopes, endoscopes (non medical), borescopes, digital camcorders or webcam connected to smartphone or tablets.
3. Microscopy or endoscopy "on-the-go" becomes a reality with MScopes USB camera app, such portability or mobility greatly increase handiness, convenience and flexibility in observing microscopic objects or hard to reach internal parts of a crack, pipes, cavity, etc.
4. For USB camera with type-A connector, an OTG (on-the-go) adapter is required to connect with micro USB in Android smartphones.
5. This USB camera software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group. b. c.
6. If you cannot see preview on screen or live views, please DO NOT upgrade to Pro or Pro2 version, it will NOT solve the blank screen problem.
7. The problem is most likely due to hardware not supporting USB camera video. a.
8. It also uses libraries with copyright (c) saki t_saki@serenegiant. d.
9. Not all Android smartphones or tablets support UVC camera, this app may not work on some devices.
1. What happened????Works with Pixel 2 using Android 11! A FREE APP that allows me to capture video / photos from my digital microscope and connects to the system camera! I had been using a different program prior to upgrading to Android 11 *NOTE: user must manually upload media files from MScopes to (Google Photos, drive...) as opposed to them being saved automatically.
2. No need, the free version will work great for almost everybody. This microscope app is perfect! Ads do not show up or stay on the screen the whole time your veiwing stuff! You can flip the veiw 180 degrees to prevent using the scope with a mirrored image! It has not crashed once! (Plug the scope in to your phone prior to oepning the app).
3. It did not ask for permission to access my contacts! Its easy to use and works every time we go to use it (on 2 different phones)! Thank you!Previously a nice app now it reverted to not allowing the pics to be downloaded directly into internal storage.
4. To be able to configure whether to show a device detected notification (or not show irrelevant devices, or remember settings on a hardware device ID basis) would be a nice enhancement.Terrible update June 6, 23 - you can't download your own photos anymore.
5. I bought a cheap Jiusion Digital Microscope on Amazon, and most of the apps that were recommended, were poorly setup or just didn't work.
6. While camera is plugged in, it only occasionally displays the feed on screen, and just goes back to the app home page the rest of the time, with no option to switch to the feed.
7. I think I'll move on to other app Thinking to buy the pro version but f it I'll use another app who are less annoyingWants my visa number before I can see if it works.
8. One annoyance is that every time I plug in a usb device to my phone (including headphones) the app asks if it should start.
9. To risky :(It's not the best looking app, but you forget about it anyway when you plug a cam or microscope to it, because what's important here is that it works.
10. I can be critical of apps but this one only asked for permissions that made sense and I plugged them camera in, then it said "hey, I see a cam plugged into USB, wanna use it?" and it worked fine.
11. Thank you for honest work, devs. The app works with no issues in my pixel 3.
