1. IP address filtering to block unfamiliar device from accessing the server. 7.
2. Support Apple Bonjour, DDNS for discovering the device and it IP address.
3. Synchronize file with Android device and Windows device. 3.
4. Start server automatically when device booted, or WiFi connected. 11.
5. Support GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS, PROPFIND, PROPPATCH, MKCOL, MOVE, COPY, LOCK, UNLOCK. 4.
6. Set last-modified time after uploading file on android systems that can not set last-modified time. 9.
7. Support listing directory, uploading file from Web Page. 5.
8. Keep CPU alive to prevent the device from sleeping. 10.
9. The only limit is that the free version accepts maximum 1000 requests a day. 1.
10. Use BestDav as a small footprint Web Server and WebDAV server. 2.
11. Backup the photos and sound files etc to PC or other devices automatically. 4.
1. Also, it turns out that what I need is not WebDAV, but maybe SAMBA (or better, a phone app that can reliably and expeditiously update file modification dates based on EXIF data, without root).
2. Also, I have very basic needs, so the high degree of configurability, combined with inability to edit settings, is a minus not a plus for me.Update: Starting on Android 11 but gives permission denied error message.
3. Note: I think "Allow Browsing Directory from Web Page" is reversed in toggle, because with it unchecked, it's on, and checked, it's off.Worked well for data transfer when I got a new phone.
4. Thanks for an awesome and free WebDAV server! My keyboard doesn't pop up in this app, so I can't edit any of the settings.
5. So far, every method I've tried of uploading a photo to the phone, including this app, changes the modified date of the file from the date the picture was taken to today's date.
6. He has the same phone, but no Gboard keyboard (I think he has swiftkey or something like that; I swapped it out when a recent Gboard update completely blocked the ability to sign onto the device).
7. Doesn't recognise external sdcard or can be connected from another app.Requests permissions for reading phone status and identity.
8. On my husband's phone, though, the keyboard wouldn't pop up within this app, so I couldn't edit the settings.
9. This is the only WebDAV app I was able to get to read AND write to my external SD card without jumping through hoops (Android Nougat 7.0 on Motorola Droid Turbo 2).
10. The only thing I wish I could do is change the name of the server so it doesn't show up as the IP and port number when viewed in Windows Explorer.
11. Update: Does not work at all on Android 11 (Samsung) Nice try, but HTTPS not works with the built in certificate.
