myPAL Player Customer Insights

1. Do Something!!!If you are instructed to download this app during flight boarding, that means, your PR flight DOES NOT HAVE IN FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN ONBOARD! Sad to say this is unfair because no matter how good this streaming app, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO USE YOUR OWN GADGET.

2. PAL should provide for a better onboard experience and the passengers should not be hostaged by a defective app...Why not have the updated app on google play instead of having to download the old app, only to notify you that you have to update your app through unknown sources.

3. Very disappointing when PAL does not offer any other in flight entertainment and their App does not work.OMG! It has been more than 6 weeks & the prob persisted.

4. Had to rely on the iPad distributed inflight.The app was working on my flight to Seoul, but on my return flight to Manila the app was requesting for an update.

5. The IT guys need to be all fired! Why can't u guys update their Google play store (like everyone else)? Ridiculous! On my flite to MNL, it was doing what it was supposed to do.

6. PALpak.Tried several times to use this app on the flight between Vancouver and Manila and back and says there's no myPAL wifi even tho I'm connected.

7. On my return flite from MNL, prompted to download the upgrade but can nvr happen & juz hangs there! Asked the flite attendent but was informed there is no WiFi on board.

8. But on my recent Japan flight, it kept asking for an update.

9. It does not work in-flight even if you are connected to the onboard wifi.

10. Attendants will say it is being fixed or symphatize with you that they too cannot access it and are doing something to address it through out the flight.

11. I just recommend downloading a ton of shows and movies on netflix or even youtube offline mode.App does not work once you are on board.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix myPAL Player Issues

1. Fix myPAL Player Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart myPAL Player: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the myPAL Player App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "myPAL Player" » Open myPAL Player » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for myPAL Player » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear myPAL Player app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from myPAL Player servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "myPAL Player" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check myPAL Player app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, myPAL Player might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall myPAL Player. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall myPAL Player then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing myPAL Player not working


2. Fix myPAL Player Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make myPAL Player be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to myPAL Player not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, myPAL Player may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
