However the controls are not good, there isn't a way to turn off auto play, even after watching a show it shows as a for you recommendation on the TV & when you start the app live channels play annoyingly...l'm very underwhelmed considering that this is a Sony Bravia hilighted app.I don't like the fact that the feature of integration to the channel guide has been removed.

I usually stream a paying live tv service but when money is tight I have to let the paying tv service cancel sometimes this app seems pretty good just not a lot of live tv but it’s free so u don’t get the ESPN and fox sports etc unless it’s a day old news after the live tv channel aired prior in the week 👍I like some of the shows on it so far.

3. In 2020, XUMO will not work with either of my Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro boxes, nor will it work correctly with my 2020 TIVO 4K Stream box which is also based on Android TV OS.

4. It has a channel guide and on my Sony Bravia it seems pretty cool free tv app 🤷🏻 ♂️Not sure about the poor reviews maybe I’m missing something I don’t use it all the time.

5. So far not liking the skipping part because of the fact I miss parts of the eps.Great idea but doesn't work on Nvidia Shield.

6. Why even put out an "Android TV" app, if it doesn't work? Seems they only test their FireTV apps for bugs and not any platform based on Android TV OS 9.0. .

7. Seems to be a good competitor to Pluto TV, but Pluto TV actually works.May 25, 2020 More than one year later and XUMO has not fixed their app.

9. If I go back into the app, it will then start playing a double audio stream of the same channel.

1. Fix Xumo Play Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Xumo Play: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Xumo Play App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xumo Play" » Open Xumo Play » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xumo Play » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Xumo Play app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xumo Play servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xumo Play" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Xumo Play app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xumo Play might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Xumo Play. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xumo Play then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xumo Play not working

2. Fix Xumo Play Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xumo Play be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xumo Play not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xumo Play may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
