Mi Home Customer Insights

1. It won't communicate with the vacuum cleaner when trying to use the remote control, although it works fine when using the cleaning settingThe paperwork that came with the vacuum was a bit difficult to follow, like a translation from another language.

2. Which means, I have to go through the entire wifi setup, reprogram my schedule etc... seems the app should be able to re-initiate the connection on it's own once restored.Where's the mop feature? I love the app because it makes vacuuming and mopping easier to program on my roborock.

3. Can not control anything from the app (for instance to unable dual mode vacuum/and mop, or change moisture level for mopping mode) because the app does NOT stop "loading data" (I let it run for several hours and had to shutitoff.

4. I was very happy with the app for my robot vacuum, every time i opened it, it was ready to use, now it doesn't even show my smart map created, it is very frustrating every time the same problem.

5. I tried to use the app on different devices and from different locations)!!! PLEASE FIX THIS THING!!!!!Robots navigation is awesome! Super impressive by the Roborock Q7, the only downside is that it is only working with my phone acting as a hotspot to forward the Wi-Fi.

6. Moreover, it does not show the vacuum moving as it used to, it's just blocked in one point which makes it very difficult when i try to start it away from home because i don't know if it's done or not.

7. I wish i could go back to the previous version.The Roborock Vacuum works great.

8. Each time I am away from a direct connection I have to redo my connection with my vacuum.

9. The vacuum does have occasional issues.

10. I've used this app/vacuum for over a year with minimal to no problems and held my five star rating all that time.

11. This time around, I disconnect the dock cord for about 10 seconds to tie it out of the way of the robot.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Mi Home Issues

1. Fix Mi Home Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Mi Home: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Mi Home App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Mi Home" » Open Mi Home » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Mi Home » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mi Home app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Mi Home servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mi Home" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Mi Home app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Mi Home might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Mi Home. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Mi Home then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Mi Home not working

2. Fix Mi Home Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Mi Home be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Mi Home not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Mi Home may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello,

    I've tested Xiaomi cloud storage for my home web camera and bought a cloud subscription.
    Even though my subscription was canceled and I don't see any options related to the Mi Xiaomi via Google Play or in the application that will allow me to make any changes, so automatic monthly payments are still valid and I lose money (the latest receipt is attached, although it's in Ukrainian).

    Can you please help me and remove all payment data from my account, so I won't pay for unused cloud service next month?
