MediaMonkey Pro Customer Insights

1. If you have a music collection, and you once spent a decade or so slowly building your own personal Hi-Fi system in the years before everything became all-digital..... then THIS is your media player. The sync process is jank incarnate.

2. This just doesn't work as well as it should for a paid product. So about the new UI, while the homescreen tiles are too small and fiddly to use while driving, the new UI works great in landscape mode; all the controlls that used to appear via press & hold now are now appear in the upper right hand corner upon press & hold and the shuffle & repeat controls are much clearer.

3. I have never been able to get the WiFi sync to work, so I have to use a cord.I have been using the paid version of Mediamonkey for many years.

4. # # # Thankfully I already solved the issue of .nomedia files that doesn't seem to be in the docs and the app certainly doesn't let you know that hey, the folder you added to the library cannot be scanned because of those pesky files.Worked for a month or two, but now it crashes when I try to add a podcast to a playlist.

5. Any changes on Android for auto playlists require two syncs to take effect - if the sync works at all.

6. Not as ideal as the old UI, so I dropped a star. It's not as user friendly as itunes, but it is the only android based music app that can handle my 60+ GB library.

7. I just tried to sync 650 songs over, having long ago sync'd my entire library of 60k songs.

8. Automatic playlists only work on the desktop, not on Android.

9. Does not sync ratings from mobile to desktop.

10. Ive been using MediaMonkey since 2014 and this update is giving me reason to change.

11. Now it wants to duplicate my entire library if I sync again.
