1. I highly recommend this app especially for students.I got trained very well in this app! I had only 25WPM first when I started using this app, but after 1 month.Now I have 95WPM!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH Typist!its well made, the words were challenging and i notice that i made words mistake constantly and im trying to fix it.It is really good but if there's all the option to see the mistake we made in the paregraphe not only by the number ,, thank youCan you make some adjustments in the App so that we can download our own material or passage for eg a court's judgement and practice on that material and the option for setting maximum typing time on the App.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Typist Issues

1. Fix Typist Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Typist: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Typist App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Typist" » Open Typist: A Quick Typing Test » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Typist » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Typist: A Quick Typing Test app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Typist servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Typist: A Quick Typing Test" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Typist app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Typist might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Typist. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Typist then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Typist not working


2. Fix Typist Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Typist be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Typist not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Typist may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
