1. I realize that what I've described could be a Chromecast problem which The Great Courses has no control over.Overall it works ok, but I have one big problem and one small one.

2. The Great Courses app usually works fine and I can live with the occasional hiccups.

3. I rated it at four stars because it seems to be limited to thirty courses total.

4. Each time I want to listen to a lecture, I have to toggle between Audio and Video several times just to stop the wheel.

9. Please make it more stable!I used to buy the DVD versions of these courses, but lately I've discovered that it is more convenient to stream them, either using the website, or more often, this app.

10. I still like it, but being limited to cell phone data (no WiFi available without driving somewhere that has it), the app is not useful for me.

11. The only problem is that occasionally, if I pause the streaming, some sort of confusion occurs between the streaming (via Chromecast) and the app, such that the latter has lost contact with the former.

1. Fix The Great Courses Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart The Great Courses: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the The Great Courses App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Great Courses" » Open The Great Courses » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Great Courses » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear The Great Courses app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Great Courses servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Great Courses" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check The Great Courses app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Great Courses might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall The Great Courses. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Great Courses then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Great Courses not working

2. Fix The Great Courses Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Great Courses be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Great Courses not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Great Courses may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
