1. You people can't even make a drop down menu work and you exist me to trust you with filling my taxes? Utterly embarrassing.Tried to file NJ Tax return it keeps coming back with an error of missing property info (county, lot and block) so I have to file by paper, neither the website nor the App show where to go for the missing info, I went to every tab on App, couldn't find it.

Called their support, they couldn't figure it out either, I used Taxslayer in the past but I guess it is time to switch, they are cheaper options too, I am sure I will get a response to this comment asking to clarify but I won't bother.Overall this app is outstanding (disclaimer: I've been using Taxslayer for over 10 years, so I may be a little biased).

3. Except it logged me out w/o saving all my work.Constant, and I mean constant panhandling with the: "Surprise! We've upgraded you to X membership!" And it appears to be a mandatory charge, making you think it's part of the process, until you scroll down alllll the way and in itty bitty text see "no thanks".

4. In the final step, I had to click "no thanks" no less than 30 times to it's upgrades, because each time I reviewed infor elsewhere or double checked my data, it brings you back to the start of the step so you can get gagged by its own ads.

5. Any time I go to access info outside of the app to manually fill in information, the app crashes and loses ALL progress.

6. Minimize the app to review the info and the enter in the numbers and the app backs out of the screen deleting everything I just entered.

7. Other than that, I would highly recommend this app (4.8 stars).Wasted enough time to more than make up for any $ I might have saved vs TurboTax or something.

8. Everything is digital now, so allow the ability to switch between screens to use this thing.The app is just the mobile website, so it really may as well not exist.

9. They repeatedly bombard you with adds for other services they will charge you for and they I'd scan is glitchy.

10. Trying to enter in information by hand but have it saved on my phone.

11. And, for funsies, the Federal ID barcode Scan pops up randomly at any time, even if you've done it.

1. Fix TaxSlayer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart TaxSlayer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the TaxSlayer App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TaxSlayer" » Open TaxSlayer: File your taxes » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TaxSlayer » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear TaxSlayer: File your taxes app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TaxSlayer servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TaxSlayer: File your taxes" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check TaxSlayer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TaxSlayer might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall TaxSlayer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TaxSlayer then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TaxSlayer not working

2. Fix TaxSlayer Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TaxSlayer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TaxSlayer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TaxSlayer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
