1. Unfortunately I was unable to set up an account to even try out the app.Could not get past the QR code setup or manually entering the heater serial number.

2. Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but it's great to have the app working again.Downloaded and attempted to set up an account.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix State Water Heaters Issues

1. Fix State Water Heaters Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart State Water Heaters: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the State Water Heaters App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "State Water Heaters" » Open State Water Heaters » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for State Water Heaters » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear State Water Heaters app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from State Water Heaters servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "State Water Heaters" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check State Water Heaters app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, State Water Heaters might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall State Water Heaters. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall State Water Heaters then reinstall.
