1. I have the basic fire stick remote and was thinking of buying the more expensive one till I tried this.99 if the time my voice search is correct which is great and easier than typing.if you open the app and dont use it for a while then yes you have to reconnect but that is a small point and is not worth complaining about as it doesnt take a great deal of time to do this.Ill keep it short.
2. Theres frequent ads which are annoying, but like I said it gets the job done in a pinch.my remote suddenly doesnt work in the middle of watching a show.
3. So... Deleeeeeeeet timemaaaaaGreat standin for the remote when we loose it in the couch or it gets set down accidentally duting a trip to the kitchen.
4. ...but, this was only possible after using the officially released firestick remote app to enable debugging, etc to set things up.
5. I downloaded this because even after new batteries, my remote didn't seem to work.
6. But after a ended up buying a remote down the road, I still found myself using this way a lot just because it was easier and more convenient than pecking in choices with a remote.
7. Additional benefits Im less likely to loose loose my phone than that remote.
8. I suggest setting this up while you have the remote and not wait until one of the times the kids lose it and Netflix is asking "are you still there?" Right at a cliff hanger.
9. Touchpad which supports swiping for move which is superior and faster than the buttons on the remote.
10. Once you get the debugger setting ON and select "do not ask again" for connection approval, you're good to go without remote next times.
11. Didn't have a remote and it worked for most of what I wanted.
