1. - I wish I had the option like the general Ling app to not use Tamil characters in lessons, rather the Tamil words instead.I purchased the full app after some time of using the free option and now my package doesn't seem to be accessible.
2. I reckon the developers ought to include a pronunciation / alphabet lesson which includes the vowel preceding the syllable.I subscribed for premium, but am unable to access premium featuresWhat awful pronunciation! Zha is the most iconic sound in Tamil and it's mispronounced terribly.
3. This MUST be improved.I am glad to find an app that I can learn my husband's first language! It's very helpful but there are some things I'd love to see as improvements: - I used to use the general Ling app then when I downloaded the Tamil specific Ling app, all my progress is corrupt and had to start over.
4. I speak Tamil and downloaded the app to learn the alphabet but I'm so put off by the utterly grating pronunciation of 'zha' that I've stopped using the app.Terrible terrible app.
5. It's a shame Duolingo doesn't have Tamil. It's very fun and interesting It teaches u at your pace and from very basic level! The most important feature for me is voice recognition.
6. It is poorly localized, attempting to shoehorn all languages into the same curriculum, for example trying to teach "cousin" instead of using tamil's native kinship terms.
7. And the advertised writing mode does not seem to exist. It is what I'm looking for to introduce me to Tamil.
8. It's glitchy, forces you to sign up before even the lessons start, doesn't have Google sign up and badgers you to buy premium right at the beginning.
9. I know a little Tamil, and sometimes the app gives me a 100 percent score.
10. The fact remains though that it is an accessible way into Tamil.
11. Unfortunately, the "Contact Us" link doesn't work in the app either.Very strange, I have to put payment method before seeing any app features.
