My favorite feature is Image Comparison: Your photo takes up half of the screen and you can cycle through similar images of your fungi that confirm your identificationI cannot speak to how well the ID feature works, but what I can say is that this app is an EXCELLENT tool for learning about mushrooms, if you can afford a pro subscription.

2. Between this app, 2 others & Google, this is by far the most accurate & with the best info! Just discovered that there's games you can play to extend your knowledge, which is super cool! You can look back on all your history ,which is helpful when learning so you can notice your progress, as well as learn from mistakes.

3. The app shows several possible matches as well as look alikes, with links to related websites.I'm giving 4 stars based on service (I had an issue and the developer he contacted me quickly to resolve it) and usability.

4. Otherwise, love this app! Thanks!This app is awesome, very attractive interface, easy to learn a lot! Appropriately warns about the photo identification - never use AI as your only identification step if you're foraging.

5. The only thing I would change is to add a zoom feature to the prediction pictures, as well as showing a few examples of each mushroom to compare with your picture.

6. The classification game/quiz is a ton of fun, and I love the new update that allows you to narrow possibilities step by step based on different features.

7. I was not ready for a subscription and wish there were different trial options but overall good app.Notifications ask you to upgrade to pro multiple times a day.

8. Unfortunately, probably as a result of being very small team with large upkeep cost, the pro price is a bit too steep for me to justify buying.Not really thorough enough for a newbie forager.

1. Fix ShroomID Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart ShroomID: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the ShroomID App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ShroomID" » Open ShroomID - Identify Mushrooms! » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ShroomID » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear ShroomID - Identify Mushrooms! app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ShroomID servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ShroomID - Identify Mushrooms!" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check ShroomID app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ShroomID might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall ShroomID. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ShroomID then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ShroomID not working

2. Fix ShroomID Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ShroomID be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ShroomID not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ShroomID may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
