JustIN Customer Insights

1. Why does the music stop when you unlock a door with JustIN? In the nineties, I could listen to my walkman uninterrupted whilst unlocking any door with its respective key and it took about 1-3 seconds.

2. Pulling out a key and turning the lock takes about 30% of the time it takes to pull out a mobile, start the app, and wait for the door to unlock.

3. Barebones app, shame.Update: The app doesn't cut my music anymore - Got no problems -- Takes twice as long as a key and cuts your music in the process.

4. Not to mention, the walkman played Pearl Jam uninterrupted through the...Decent app but has a few problems -Android widget doesn't work.

5. I was hoping I could just put my phone to the pad and get in, but I'm forced to put my things down to open the app and then click another button AND THEN wait for it to connect and give me access.

6. Works once or twice but takes forever to detect the large sensors, even with nothing between the phone and sensor.

7. I don't understand how a passive fob works 100% of the time and an active phone signal works less than 5% of the time.

8. (Already streaming music from watch to headphones, so having the key on the watch would remove all bulk).This was introduced to control the locks at my home and place of employment.

9. I'm still using my keycard and will probably cancel the membership if no widget is made.Doesn't work.

10. Forced by holiday accommodation to use this app and phone won't recognise the lock 99% of the time.

11. Took old phone out of box after a couple of weeks, turned it on and got keys there, which I wouldn't expect to be the case.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix JustIN Issues

1. Fix JustIN Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart JustIN: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the JustIN App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "JustIN" » Open JustIN Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for JustIN » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear JustIN Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from JustIN servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "JustIN Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check JustIN app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, JustIN might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall JustIN. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall JustIN then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing JustIN not working


2. Fix JustIN Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make JustIN be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to JustIN not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, JustIN may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
