minicam Customer Insights

1. I setup the camera, and set password, when try to connect my tablet it finds camera but gives me invalid password.. I also found the camera never keeps the correct time.Cannot connect, manually or via LAN, either says "invalid ID" when I scan the QR code, or "No device can be found" when I a connected to the WiFi, and try to get device to show up that way... so I have a crappy digital clock now, that was supposed to be a hidden security camera.

2. Strong WiFi signal is absolutely required to take full advantage, because the camera image at 1080P is quite good for such a little device. The app works... but ran into some issues when trying to reconnect to camera with password after I got a new phone, also had same issue when trying to use my tablet.

3. The app controls the camera just fine; however, it injects intrusive adds, it transmits phone data to an undisclosed location, and worst if all it establishes permission to install additional software without the users knowledge or permission! Norton gives this app a hard fail on that last point - there is no reason why any app designer should do something like that!! Fix these egregious security issued, and I'd rate the app 5-stars.

4. First connect to local WiFi of camera, then launch minicam, add the camera, and lastly change WiFi connection to your WiFi SSID.

5. The PASSWORD thing got me THINKING...PLEASE FIX...I can connect to the camera and use it fine.

6. But it disconnects my phones wifi as soon as the camera connects.

7. So I cant ise my phone and the camera app at the same time.

8. Will NOT connect or even show up as an available WiFi device.

9. and the positive reviews are probably fake/people getting paid to lie. When connected to the cam live it will only stay connected for maybe 3 seconds then freeze and the connection will drop out.

10. Must be an app issue with remote connection. So i got the spy minicam...and i placed it were i want it to be...it work for a few, then it went offline ...so i try getting it going again, checking my connections .

11. Then i noticed that my password wasnt the same...so i continued to tinker with it and didn't get anywhere...it shows it running but no live VIDEO.
